Vivian Agbegha, Chief Executive Officer
Vivian Agbegha is an impact measurement and management expert with 19 years of global experience. She has contributed to projects across the World Bank, Millennium Challenge Corporation, USAID, African Development Bank, and Palladium Group. Throughout her career, she has designed and conducted research and evaluation projects. She has also designed, monitored, and evaluated projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia. She has led strategy development and problem-solving for complex projects (budget $20 million to $330 million).
Her expertise primarily focuses on economic growth through private sector development, with key areas including:
Entrepreneurship, small and medium enterprise development
Innovation
Trade and competitiveness
Tourism
Agricultural value chains
Access to finance
Beyond private sector development, Vivian has worked on projects related to poverty and inequality, education, energy (including off-grid renewable energy), land use, and transport. Her current interests include impact investing and women’s entrepreneurship, particularly in emerging markets.
Vivian is the current co-chair of the American Evaluation Association’s Social Finance Topical Interest Group.
Vivian holds a B.S. in the History of Modern China and an M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University. She is ABD for a Ph.D. in Public Policy at George Mason University.
